Lucky links

Lucky Links was created by Just For the Win in co-operation with Microgaming and is a 5 reel, 20 win both ways slot that can be played from 10p to £250 a spin on all devices. It comes with a Lucky Links feature where stacks of linking symbols lock in place with re-spins to follow. As a win both ways title, you can form wins from left to right and right to left starting from the outermost reel (reel 1 or 5).
Visually, the game is predominantly purple – with a luck feel to it, it draws inspiration for the sparking lightshows from the casinos on Fremont Street. Symbols on the reels include hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades are well luck themed symbols such as 4-leaf clovers, horseshoes, acorns and triple red 7s. There is also a Lucky Links logo symbol which gives you 7.5 times your stake for 5 across a payline.
The game comes with a Lucky Links feature which is played when stacks of linking symbols line up horizontally – the volume increases as more instruments join in and the lights go crazy. They then lock in place with re-spins following. If more linking symbols land, the re-spins continue.
The Lucky Links feature triggers frequently as it’s a low variance offering – it does offer wins of up to 352 times your stake on each spin which isn’t bad. Overall, it’s a decent game visually but I much prefer the other Just For the Win and Microgaming collaboration – Goldwyn’s Fairies. Alternatively, I suggest NetEnt’s Starburst which is similar in terms of design and gameplay but with much bigger rewards.
