The objective of playing Sunset Beach slot is to spin the reels and land matching symbols on the paylines. The game is played simultaneously across four different slot machine screens. Certain features, such as Free Games and Stacked Wilds, will clone across all four slot machines. This is an online casino slot that offers four times the excitement with every spin!
How to Play:
Sunset Beach is played with four different slot machines. The bets and paylines are the same across all four machines. Most of the payouts and features are particular to each slot machine, but some features can be applied across all four machines. These are explained in a section below.
Getting Started:
Use the +/- buttons to set the Line Bet to the desired amount.
Press Spin or Auto Play when you are ready to spin the reels. Auto Play allows you to choose 10-99 spins to be played automatically. When Auto Play Mode is on, the button changes to Stop – select it to turn off Auto Play Mode.
Click Turbo Mode if you wish to speed up the animations of the reels spinning for faster play.
Note: There are 20 paylines on each slot machine. Therefore, the Total Bet for each slot machine = Line Bet x 20 and the Total Bet per spin = Line Bet x 80.
Note: A winning spin will be clearly highlighted on the reels. All possible payouts are displayed on the Paytable, which is accessed through the Info button on the bottom left of the screen. Line Win = Payout x Line Bet. Scatter Win = Payout x Total Bet for one machine.
Info Pages:
Press Info to open the Sunset Beach Info Pages, which includes the Paytable and information on the Bonus Features. Use the arrows on the bottom right of the screen to move to the next screen. Use the Back button to exit and return to the reels. The Info Pages are described below:
Paytable – displays all possible payouts for Line Wins and Scatter Wins.
Multiple Machines – describes the unique features that can be applied across all four slot machines.
Free Games – describes the rules and awarding of the Free Games Bonus.
Paylines – illustrates where the 20 paylines appears on the four slot machines.
Paylines:
Paylines are the directions that matching symbols must follow across the reels to pay out as Line Wins. Sunset Beach features 20 fixed paylines on each slot machine. They are fixed in the same positions on all four machines.
Please note the difference between the Line Bet and the Total Bet. The Line Bet is the amount staked on each payline on an individual slot machine. The Total Bet is the total amount staked on all paylines across all four machines, i.e. Line Bet x 80.
About Payouts:
All possible payouts are listed on the Paytable screen. A Line Win = Payout x Line Bet. A Scatter Win = Payout x Total Bet for one machine (20 x Line Bet).
Only the highest value Line Win is paid out on each payline for each slot machine. Multiple Line Wins on different paylines are added up together and paid as a total win.
A Line Win must start on Reel 1, moving left to right across the reels in a chain of symbols on a payline.
Stacked Wild Symbols:
Any of the three main character symbols can appear stacked on Reels 2, 3 and 4. When they appear stacked on a reel, they will act as Wild Symbols for all positions on that reel. A Stacked Wild will then clone across the same reel on all slot machines with reels still spinning.
Note: The slot machines spin in a clockwise order, i.e. the first machine (top left) will spin first, followed by the second machine (top right), third machine (bottom left) and fourth machine (bottom right).
For example:
A Stacked Wild Symbol falling on Reel 3 of the third slot machine will also appear on Reel 3 of the fourth slot machine.
Or
A Stacked Wild Symbol falling on Reel 2 of the first slot machine will also appear on Reel 2 of the other three slot machines.
Or
If a Stacked Wild Symbol falls on Reel 2 of the second slot machine and a different Stacked Wild Symbol falls on Reel 4 of the third slot machine, then Reel 2 would have a Stacked Wild on the second, third and fourth machine and Reel 4 would have a Stacked Wild on the third and fourth slot machine.
Please note:
Wild Symbols substitute for all other standard symbols to make the best possible Line Win on a payline.
Wild Symbols do not substitute for Free Games or Scatter Symbols.
When the character symbols are not stacked, they do not act as Wild Symbols.
Scatter Symbol:
The Scatter Symbols (Surfer Symbols) do not need to fall on any paylines to be active in the game. A payout is awarded if three or more Scatter Symbols land in any position on any single slot machine. The payout is calculated by multiplying the figure shown on the Paytable by the Total Bet for that slot machine.
Free Games Symbol:
The Free Games Symbol only appears on Reel 3 on all four slot machines. It does not have any payout value. Instead, you will be awarded 15 Free Games if a Free Games Symbol lands simultaneously (in any position) on Reel 3 in all four slot machines.
Free Games:
Free Games are played across all four slot machines. Press Click to Start when Free Games have been awarded. A message appears on screen informing you that you have won 15 Free Games. The Free Games will then play through automatically.
If a Free Games Symbol lands in any position on any slot, you will be awarded an extra 2 Free Games.
Please note:
Free Games are played at the same Line Bet as the triggering spin.
The remaining number of Free Games is displayed at the top of the screen.
The current total win is shown on the top right of the screen.
More Free Games can be added an infinite amount of times.
When all Free Games have been played through, a summary screen will appear detailing the Free Games win for each individual slot machine. Press Continue to return to the main game.
Return to Player:
The theoretical RTP (Return to Player) for Sunset Beach slot is 95.00%.
Buttons:
The following buttons are used to play the slot:
Info – opens the Sunset Beach Info Pages, which includes the Paytable and information on special features.
+/- Line Bet increases/decreases the Line Bet across all four slot machines.
Auto Play – allows you to choose a set number of spins to be played automatically.
Spin – spins the reels across all four machines at the current bet.
Turbo Mode – speeds up the animations of the reels spinning etc. for faster results.
Casino Toolbar:
The Casino Toolbar runs along the upper and lower edges of the game screen. It contains the following buttons and displays:
Game Balance – shows your current available balance at the casino.
Cashier – select to launch the main banking tool. You can use the Cashier to deposit and withdraw funds, or to view your transaction history
Play for Real Money – press to play Sunset Beach slot, or other games including online blackjack and roulette, for real money at William Hill Casino. This button only appears when you are playing in Fun Mode.
Menu (Tools) – click to launch the following further options:
History – view the results of recent spins.
Options – adjust games settings, including audio.
Help – load this help text.

Close – press to close the current game tab and return to the main menu.
Quick Deposit – use this tool to make quick deposits without opening the Cashier. It may appear in a pop up window (once only per session) if your balance runs low.

Note on Disconnections:
If you lose internet connection in the middle of a spin in the main game, that spin will still be completed. You can view the result by using the History tool when you reconnect to the internet again. If you were using Auto Play, only the next scheduled spin will be completed.
If you lose internet connection when playing the Free Games Bonus, you will be automatically redirected back to Sunset Beach slot when you log into William Hill Casino again. You will be able to continue playing Free Games from the point where the connection was lost. All previous wins gained in the Bonus will be paid.
