Unicorns and fairies are nothing new in a slot theme, but this one feels oddly unfinished. As if the graphics designer had great inspiration to begin with and then half way through, got bored and rushed the finish.
The high cards are all represented, joined by flowers, owls, the titular unicorn and enchanted castles. There is even a little fairy moving back and forth across the logo in a way that’s very distracting and made us a little dizzy.
This theme definitely works better on the online slot version rather than the mobile.
Be careful with Unicorn Legend slot
Much like Medusa and Super Safari, this mobile game is one of the higher volatility NextGen slots. You’ll notice you’ll get plenty of pretty little wins, but you won’t be getting that many wins that get you your bet back. You’ll have to hit those 4 or 5 of a kind symbols in order to get any real impressive wins during the base game.
Better yet, is getting those high symbol wins during the free spins, which you have three choices – 20 free spins with small multipliers, 15 free spins with medium sized multipliers or 10 free spins with high multipliers. Our instinct, considering the volatility of the game, is to go less free spins but more multipliers, as we like the idea of pushing those wins to the max.
However, we tried them all, and have had good results on all, and bad results on all. Generally we found that getting about 30x our bet was expected, anything less and it feels like a wasted bonus feature.
Basically be prepared to budget your cash and hope for a good free spin round, otherwise this wild horse may leave you with you face flat in the mud and running away from you.
